Art Basel Miami Feature with Henrique Souza
Hello Darlings,
With Miami Art Basel about to hit the centre stage of the cultural scene, I am thrilled to bring you my interview with this year’s headlining artist Henrique Souza.
WLG: With one month free of any responsibilities, where in the world would you most want to travel?
HS: Brazil – Home.
WLG: And on your travels, what would you most seek to capture?
HS: It is the subject that chooses me, but I’m into nature usually.
WLG: How do you perceive your own art?
HS: Clean, fun and simple
WLG: If you could pick one work of art, what would it be?
HS: Geopoliticus Child by Salvadore Dali
WLG: And lastly, do you think that fashion is a form of art?
HS: Yes, absolutely. Especially, when we look at the works of geniuses like Alexander McQueen.
The award-winning Souza will be showcasing his Just Add Water exhibit at Miami Art Space in Wynwood Art District, November 30th through December 4th. An ethereal collection is part of the three year study of water shots, the free-formed images share both the now and then of the distant dream while conveying their whimsical beauty.
With Love...
