Hello Darlings,

It's a rainy morning in Toronto, but no chance a little bad weather could dampen my spirits with such an exciting day ahead. First up will be my first celebrity encounter of this year's Toronto International Film Festival ("TIFF") as I'm invited to hang out in the Variety Studio inside upscale retail store Holt Renfrew.

Variety Magazine is one of the main Hollywood and industry publications, and they are hosting a lounge where media can interview various movie stars attending TIFF to showcase their films. With an action-packed day including no less than 3 big parties, I chose to attend the suite at 11 AM in large part because I am a huge Alexander Skarsgard fan from his acting on the HBO show True Blood. With every fashion week, there are inevitably highs and lows. And with every eye of the fashion industry insiders focused and quick to judge, there really is no way for a weak link to hide. So while most designers impressed me, naturally I also had a least favorite collection during my Montreal Fashion Week experience.

Along the wonderful collections already reviewed of Melissa Nepton and Tavan & Mitto was another fabulous designer DUY. This was my first time attending DUY's show and it was stunning!

My first Montreal Fashion Week was this past February on a snowy winter day when designers were showcasing their fall and winter collections, and my first designer experience was the runway show of Tavan & Mitto! New to the Quebec fashion scene, I was immediately impressed. I will never forget that show where the Tavan & Mitto models were wearing breathtaking ensembles of mustard colored smart-suits and sequin cocktail dresses. It was everything that I would love to have in the closet. Well, this season the duo hit it out the park once again!

Rarely so risque, the theme is "Cocktails Before Sex" for WithLoveGabrielle.com party during Toronto International Film Festival ("TIFF") at the rooftop patio of the Thompson Hotel. The party is Tuesday September 11th, and super-excited that Brendan Fallis from New York to DJ the party!

For those living under a rock (or of course living in far off lands), Hollywood comes north the first two weeks of every September for the now famous Toronto International Film Festival ("TIFF"). What Cannes is to Europe, TIFF is to the North American movie scene as more than 300 movies will premiere in Toronto over the two weeks, and many of Hollywood's biggest movie stars are also in town promoting their newest movies.
