Some might be surprised to find out that I was a tomboy :) Imagine the little girl who loves wearing dresses, and then ruining them splashing in puddles (sorry Mom!). So when Blue Mountain offered to host me to their Autumn Experience getaway, I was pretty excited. The getaway included exploring the woods with their Mountaintop Segway Tours and handing on for dear life 50 feet in the air on the Timber Challenge High Ropes course!

Fall is the most beautiful season in Canada! Well, at least that's what I want to believe :) It is a magical time for the senses with all the beautiful changing colors of leaves, and the sunny yet crisp autumn weather. Plus I love wearing cashmere and the weather is perfect for wool sweaters. Yesterday, marked the first day of fall, so happy fall everyone!

This year, the transition to fall seems a bit sneaky as I've haven't yet unpacked any of my cold-weather wardrobe. With such a fun summer, transitioning my wardrobe may be difficult as I'm not really ready to say farewell to my summer. There were so many fun events in rapid succession with Montreal Fashion Week and Toronto International Film Festival, so I would love for summer to continue a little longer!

Regardless of the scenario, you want to make a positive impression! And, what you wear will set the tone for the entire occasion. It may be hard to believe a skirt, pant-suit, or a blouse can have such an influence, but fact is they can! What you wear will not only put you in a positive self-assured frame of mind, but it will portray the image you want your colleagues to have.

In my case, one big occasion was speaking at a conference for the first time last week. Marketing Magazine invited me to speak at their annual Branded Content Conference on the topic of " Who Owns Content?" In the company of Bruce MacLellan, President of of Environics Communications, Walder Amaya of Evolve Media and Pierre-Bernard Dow-Blanchet of CloudRaker, we debated the production of branded content and the most effective ways to engage the audience.
