Following the Oh So Cosmo shoot, I had the opportunity to spend the day at Corus Quay, the new headquarters of Corus Entertainment, and a behind the scenes tour of the Oh So Cosmo tv show set.

Since opening in September 2010. Corus Quay has become known as the most advanced North American broadcast facility and Toronto’s smartest building, and after visiting I can understand why. The facility is fascinating in both nature and concept. With a living wall of plants, three storey slide, “sugar” beach, it is a very cool work environment.

Whoever said girls can’t rough it up and be one of the boys was either a major princess or a complete sexist. Within every girly girl there is a closet tomboy. My inner tomboy emerged during a three day trip to Belleville, Ontario where I took part in the Oh So Cosmo television shoot with IndyCar racing team Jensen Motorsport.

With official withlovegabrielle.com and With Love decals on the race car, the Cosmo shoot with Jensen MotorSport was a great lead-in for my exciting trip to Montreal for the F1 Grand Prix. That’s right darlings, I am invited to experience this exclusive world of Formula One racing up close and behind-the-scenes. As the only F1 race in North America and the most exciting event of the year for Montreal (from what I've been told), I am already planning my wardrobe for the week. The week will be filled with events and parties, and I’m exicted to have you come on this adventure with me!

In the allotted hour, I bought a beautiful silk Rebecca Taylor dress that was marked down from $350 to $78 at Holt Renfrew Last Call and was ready to present it to the judging panel in 60 seconds.

The panel, I said something like this: “I was looking for a cute summer dress, and found this one by Rebecca Taylor at Holt Renfrew Last Call. This is my first floral print piece and I love that it does not look like garden gone wild!” I told the judges that my mission was to find a cute summer dress, and explained that although not previously appreciating florals, it was their competition that inspired me to take the plunge!

At some point everyone experiences a shopping trip under time pressure. With an important occasion approaching and in desperate need of that perfect dress, what’s a girl to do? Well, this was exactly my situation last Saturday at Vaughan Mills shopping centre. As part of the New Media Challenge, I was invited to take part in scoring the ultimate find in less than an hour.
