Whenever watching Gossip Girl, I obsess over Blair's headbands, which are fun and add so much to otherwise boring hair styles. Headbands are also a life saver when you're at war with your hair dryer and lose... One way or another, I love headbands .... DO YOU?
This is me playing dress up in my room, wearing an H&M headband and high waisted skirt with my striped knee socks from Miss Sixty. I love the preppy school girl look, and I especially adore how Blair does it in Gossip Girl.
On another note, I was excited to meet fellow bloggers at Bloor Street Diner last Sunday. It was a wonderful day and a highlight of my week. Girls just want to have fun, and we did!
Special THANK YOU to Anthea from Clothes Line Finds for organizing the event. Thank also to Ashleigh from Rantings of a Fashion Addict, Danielle from Final Fashion and S from Modern Guilt.
Hello Darlings,
" Anyone can get all dressed up and glamorous, but it is how people dress
in their off days, that are most intriguing." - Alexander Wang
The dress is Alexander Wang - from his Spring 2007 collection.'Till this day, it's my favorite Alexander Wang collection... the sheer fabrics, the gentle colors, and the girly look is PERFECTION. When I saw this dress, I had to have it. My style preference is girly chic over grungy chic....
I've had quite an interesting week, full of birthday parties. Thursday, I had my German exam with a party right after, so for my exam chic look I wore my Whitley Silk Top and J Brand Skinnies.
I was inspired by the queen of girly and pink, Betsey Johnson, her pink house. I used to have the same pink wall color, and from her spring 2008 collection I am obsessed with this tiny pink dress :)
I was also inspired by the movie Pretty in Pink, and bought a new Alexander Wang dress... IT MADE MY WEEK and I can't wait to share it with you. I am wearing it out tonight to another friends birthday bash.
I am wearing:
Whitley Silk Top - $209, on sale for $53
My last exam is on Monday... I can't wait to get a chance to sit down for a few hours and catch up with the blog :) ... once again, thank you for all of your lovely comments :)
Hello Darlings,
It was anchors away at D&G where messieurs Dolce and Gabbana took a dip in the azure waters of the French Riviera - Make that a long soak. They never do anything halfway, and this collection was no exception, from the first retro navy-striped maillot with a red anchor on the chest to the parade of dresses in pleated gold lamé and chiffon printed with nautical flags and sailor knots.
Drawing inspiration from this fun and absolutely beautiful collection,I decided to give a nautical look a try by downplaying it with a schoolboy blazer.
