Jimmy Choo Toronto

Hello Darlings, Few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of Canada’s first stand alone Jimmy Choo boutique. Thankfully within the past few years American retail giants and sought after designers have made their way across border and have blessed us with a wider selection of fashion goodies. I will always be a supporter of Canadian retailers foremost however it is always wonderful to have more choices. After all, it is a woman's nature to want to have more!

Founded in 1996 by couture shoe designer Jimmy Choo and Vogue accessories editor Tamara Mellon, the Jimmy Choo was favorite of Princess Diana. The design direction is overseen by Creative Director Sandra Choi, who's the niece of Choo's wife. Sandra's vision is to create one of world's most treasured luxury brands. The 198 square meter store, located in Yorkdale  Shopping Centre reflects the new global store concept designed with the London-based David Collins Studio and is true to Choo aesthetic.

Also, to celebrate the Canadian debut  a special purse was created! After all, no occasion is complete without a fabulous shoe or handbag. For the occasion Choo created a custom designed Candy clutch which showcased Toronto's public transit system. With only 20 clutch available, the TTC never looked better and a few lucky ladies will get to rock it!

The store houses a complete assortment of women's and men's shoes, handbag collections, sunglasses, small leather goods and fragrance. Also included is a new Made-To-Order service. Essentially you get to make your own shoe: from selecting the classic Choo style, color to even adding initials or graphic. Speaking of a perfect gift? How could a woman ever say no to a Choo with her initials on it.

For the grand opening, I was too excited to wear my new JOA dress.  That's the thing about a drop waist and a ruffle, it makes you swoon. Like a perfect shoe fits your foot perfectly, in a similar way a brand fits your style and for the past month or so I've loved every piece that I've bought from JOA. Women love their favorites and as years go by we learn what works best for us and build wardrobes that best suit our body types and lifestyle. All that it takes is a perfect accessory to complete the look and I'm very excited that Jimmy Choo has joined us in Toronto!

With Love...

Marta
