With Hanukkah underway and Christmas just around the corner, I spent yesterday shopping for gifts and to Godiva for Dark Chocolate Decadence for a treat for me. As the day wore on, I realized how with the holiday season comes rudeness and irritability both in staff and customers.

It's a stressful time and everyone deals with stress differently, but why do some completely lose their sense of manners?

While shopping at Holt Renfrew in the Marc by Marc Jacobs sale section at Sherway Gardens mall in Toronto, I experienced customer service of the the worst kind (aka "attitude"). Note: Holt Renfrew is having great sale that is worth checking out!

For whatever reason, it seems as if Holt Renfrew's contemporary department (regardless of the store) has the very worst customer service representatives. Like I said on my Facebook page, I did not come in to purchase Marc by Marc and a dose of attitude!

The men in the male clothing department are wonderful, they not only wrap a gift but tie the most perfect bow; and the lady at the YSL beauty counter is always very helpful (she refers to me by my first name, which I love). So, what is the problem of the women who work in that one department? I really do like the store as it has a great selection of quality brands. However, I wish they would fix it or be more selective when hiring.
