Miami Downtown: The Year of Black Dragon
Hello Darlings, The year of 2012 is especially significant in the Chinese zodiac. Combinations of animal signs create a cycle where the Year of the Black Dragon occurs only once every 60 years, which symbolizes water and the colour black.¹ Of personal note, Dragon is my zodiac sign.
To ring in my own new year, I enjoyed a lovely dinner with a delightful bottle of Oregon wine and delicious lobster tail.Instead of staying in South Beach and taking part in one of the night club parties, I wanted an urban atmosphere of restaurants and tall buildings :P Everyone knows that a city girl can be taken out of a city but the city can never be taken out of her.

As I drifted towards the urban landscape of downtown Miami, I was overjoyed to hop out of my daily sandals and ballerinas and step into sky-high stilettos. With an unsuccessful dress search, I chose to début my favourite Robbi&Nikki feather skirt in Miami. Honestly, not finding that "perfect" party dress was not such a bad thing as I felt great wearing this outfit :)
