Kate Spade Dress Shopping

For every special occasion, a girl always needs a special dress - although maybe it just feels that way!

This Tuesday is a special occasion for me as I will play happy host at the Canadian launch of one of my favorite brands, Kate Spade New York. As Kate Spade celebrates their 20th birthday this year, it is about time they made their way north :) After all, we Canadians do live colorfully! To prepare for the party, I visited the newly opened store to pick out my dress. Actually, finally stopping by the store at Yorkdale Mall was quite exciting. As an avid Kate Spade purse collector, this was my first dress. I've always admired their clothes but it's not so easy to buy dresses online, so finally having a store to visit in my Toronto home town is a big deal for me. 

After trying on all of the dresses from their January collection and falling in love with a pretty ruffle top, I found my perfect dress but of course I will keep the element of surprise :)
