The Flares Are Back

Hello Darlings, Flare pants made a strong comeback in Spring 2012 and the flare trend continues to go strong strong for Fall. With Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Prabal Gurung showcasing the signature trend of the seventies, these babies should be top of mind on your fall to-buy list. Flared pants may be an intimidating trend to fall in love with,  but I promise they are worth a try!

Aside from being a much easier trend to wear then skinny jeans, wide-leg and flare pants are also far more flattering for most body types. The secret to wearing flares are heels! Nothing elongates your legs and gives shape to your derrière quite like sky high heels and flares! Therefore when shopping for a pair of flares keep in mind that it is probably best to buy them longer so that your shoes are entirely covered.

Personally, I fell in love with a wide-leg look when out of curiosity I tried on a pair of Burberry flare jeans. Over time, my curiosity became an obsession. I simply could not take them off, and my Burberry wide-leg jeans are still one  of my wardrobe favorites.

While discovering the wonder of wide-leg, I also discovered that flares are a wonderful in color. Say hello, to my new red flares :P  Not exactly a wallflower pants, these babies command attention and I love them. The red is subtle and I love how dramatic the flare is.

When it comes to sporting a wide-leg or flares, it is best to do so with added height and a simple top. Allow the pants to always be the focal point of the outfit and of course, wear with confidence!

What do you think about flares, yay or nay?

With Love...
