Last Days of Summer...

Hello Darlings,

For the past month, I've been excited for the arrival of fall and all the beautiful layering pieces of the season. However, I am also a bit nostalgic about beautiful summer days and breezy dresses. Confusing, I know!

Maybe it's a style issue to transition between seasons or feeling stuck in a style rut.... constantly turning to jeans, ballerinas and a cashmere. But no worries darlings, I have regained my stylistic inspiration... and am ready to attack  the daily challenge of "a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear" :D. It's amazing how much one can philosophize about clothes, and I am not even going to go into the topic of shoes.

But then again, where else is the girl to unleash her pleasure of ranting about all things fashion and beautiful if not on the blog. So shall we...

Browsing through the latest arrivals at Aritzia,  I was alarmed to realize that I've been on two shopping trips in the past few weeks and walked away empty handed both times. For some reason I've been having a difficult time finding all of the items on my to-buy list— which I will in the next post - my Fall Craving To-Buy List. As an organized freak, I do not feel the need to purchase excessive amounts of items only to wear them once or twice (the reason why I am adding more items to my ebay store); I've been searching out options and not settling.

As a result, I've bought a perfect thin animal print scarf, a semi-sheer khaki long sleeve top, a pair of gorgeous but outrageous booties, and a super pretty cocktail dress. Each piece took a while to find but I've planned out every purchase in a way that coordinates with my existing wardrobe in hopes of making my closet that much easier to navigate. Maybe mission impossible but one that's  worth a try. Just be patient!

My point of this rant is this: my mission is still on to be an informed and smart shopper. Spending that extra time and in some instances extra money on an item that will serve you a long time is worth it. Also knowing how to use sales to your advantage is important. A bargain is not a bargain unless you actually need the item; otherwise it will too often be just wasted extra expense. I do not feel the need to constantly wear something new, but I do enjoy finding different ways to mix and match items that I already own... and I've always based my blog on this :)

I am wearing:
Talula Babaton Semi-Sheer Tee— from Aritzia, Sherway
T by Alexander Wang Sweats—from revolveclothing.com
Henry Duarte No. Q65 lamb leather blazer—a gift
Wilfred wool scarf—from Aritzia, Sherway
Marc by Marc Jacobs Bow Percy Purse—a gift
Candela "Tokyo" Brogues in Silver—from revolveclothing.com
1 carat blue topaz & diamond  14K whil golf earrings—courtesy Ice.com jewelers
Chanel Aviators—a gift

As for my outfit: I wore this simple outfit to run errands, do some shopping and then go for a casual girl's night out. It definitely did  the job of transitioning from morning to lunch and to dinner :)

Among my new purchases, I was very lucky to receive a pair of stunning  1 carat blue topaz and diamond studs courtesy Ice.com jewelers from their Cool Glam Fall Style collection. Thank you Emily! And as a little treat Ice.com is offering 20% off (excluding watches, engagement rings, and sale items) to With Love... readers and $1 shipping by using FBFAL code. You can also select jewelry based on your personal style: Vintage Chic, Military Fashion, Drama Queen,  and Cool Glam.

Well, I am off to study some more...I hope everyone enjoyed their last summer day :)

But before I go, I must know...what is your shopping theory? Do you make to-buy lists? Do you shop impulsively or do you plan it?

Wishing Everyone a Beautiful Day!!!

With Love...

Marta
