New York City
Hello Darlings,As February marks the beginnings of the fashion weeks worldwide, I've come to the Big Apple to join festivities with Tommy Hilfiger team during the New York Fashion Week. As Carrie Bradshaw famously stated, "every year the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future... this is known as Fashion Week."
Prior to Monday's festivities, I had the pleasure of spending a few days in the city just hanging out with one of my closest friends. During our girls trip we discovered some amazing places to savor and shop at which I really wanted to share with you.
First and foremost is my all time favorite dessert spot, Serendipity3. I am sure many of you remember this cute spot from the movie Serendipity but as much as I love the movie, the reason for my obsession is their amazing Frozen Hot Chocolate. It is safe to say that it is my favorite dessert which I've tracked down all over US and therefore have visited every one of their locations. Perfect for a lunch break with the girls!
With countless number of restaurants, Balthazar in Soho is one of my favorite to come back to every time I visit the city. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and of course, the food is beyond delicious. It is a perfect place for a late dinner and to enjoy over a great bottle of wine and good conversation. The spot is often visited by Olsen twins which is always a pleasant encounter.
Also my newly favorite Friday or Saturday night agenda consists of dinner at Osteria Morini in Soho which is fantastic Italian restaurant. Followed by a quick trip around the corner to GoldBar in Nolita. The atmosphere along with gold skull adorned walls and great music is a perfect party spot!
As predictable as it may sound Fifth Avenue area and Lexington are my favorite for shopping. With countless floors of beautiful clothing, shoes and accessories it is impossible not to get lost in the paradise. Personally, I love Bloomingdales on Lexington for contemporary designer shopping such as Theory, Vince and Rag & Bone. The store has exceptional service and a great selection. For indulgent splurges Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman are the holy grail of all things amazing! With shopping in New York, you can't go wrong just stroll the streets and see what you find. Soho is also a beautiful area for boutiques. Just explore!
