Culinary Delights of SOMA and Pure Spirits

Hello Darlings,

Among the many beautiful places in Toronto, Distillery District is one of my favorites. With cobblestone streets, this historic pedestrian neighborhood has some terrific art galleries, and has numerous restaurants and pâtisseries that will suit the wants of any food lover.

As Thanksgiving Monday was as sunny and warm as an August day, I spent the afternoon indulging in a delicious lobster pasta at Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill absorbing rays of sunshine on their cozy patio. Following an hour-long lunch, I wandered to SOMA chocolatemaker for an afternoon chocolate treat.

I am a huge foodie :) I love food but dislike cooking unless in a creative mood. The thought of wearing an apron and playing in a kitchen for hours scares the life out of me, but as my mother says, "there's going to be a time when you will embrace it." Hopefully, she is right as part of my girl-y package should include culinary-competence  :P

I am wearing:
T by Alexander Wang Dress
McQ by Alexander McQueen Razor Necklace
Michael Kors Watch
3.1 Philip Lim Simon Sunglasses
J.Crew Classic Leather Ballet Flat in Smoky Charcoal
Z Spoke by Zac Posen Purse

On a side note, I must mention that heels are a no-no at the Distillery District as the cobblestones are not kind on them :) Given that my poor heels were victims of my misjudgment on the last visit, this time around I went for a pair of  ballerinas.

I wore a comfortable T by Alexander Wang dress, and accessorized with my new Alexander McQueen razor necklace. Although I rarely wear necklaces, this dainty piece was not too girly and made a statement without being overwhelming or flashy. Plus, it feels so nice to own a tiny piece of McQueen's legacy.

What are your favorite places in your city?

With Love...

Marta
