Twenty-Four Years Later

Hello Darlings,  Today is my 24th birthday, and to celebrate the occasion I decided to take a few days off to explore Montreal. I really enjoy the city, with a variety of unique neighborhoods, a buzzing night life, fabulous restaurants and  of course a lot of stylish people.

I arrived in Montreal last evening and following a quick check in at my hotel, wandered the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal and the buzzing Saint Laurent boulevard area, eventually stumbling upon a small Italian restaurant named Wood 35.

Over a glass of Chianti, Quebec’s signature poutine and a plate of seafood linguine, I made my way to a random lounge. With a few hours out and about, a luxurious bubble bath with my new read — Rules of Civility — was exactly what this tired girl needed to say farewell to my twenty-third year and welcome the twenty-fourth.

Day two of my weekend getaway, included a long morning walk to the Westmount neighborhood, and then a hike up Mount Royal to enjoy the spectacular panorama city view for the first time. Following the hike, I wandered through the charming downtown campus of McGill University where I discovered an adorable bistro called Lola Rosa. If you ever visit the sweet little bistro be sure to check the drawers inside your table where people can leave notes for the next person seated there

Now, it is time for me to get ready for a birthday dinner. Hope everyone is having a fabulous end of summer weekend!
