Hello Darlings, Toronto International Film Festival (“TIFF”) is famous for two things: an abundance of Oscar-worthy movie premieres, and fabulous parties with movie stars and celebrities. One of the hottest invites for TIFF opening weekend was the Hello Magazine “Movie Star Magic” party at the five star Ritz Carlton hotel, and yours truly attended to enjoy a fun evening as well as experience a little intrigue from Givenchy.
The house of Givenchy was founded in 1952 by Paris based designer Hubert de Givenchy and in the current day is a luxury French brand of clothing, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics with Parfums Givenchy. If you’ve been following my recent adventures, you won’t be surprised to learn about my fun challenge for Saturday TIFF adventures – as Givenchy asked me to attend a couple of the best parties to search out a “Mystery Women” who is part of the ad campaign for their Dahlia Noir perfume – and to shoot fabulous photos of our night out together!
Even in a room filled with more than 500 of Toronto’s most fabulous of course the Givenchy model stood out. Model Jelena Cosovic was dressed in a stunning black cocktail dress similar the one worn by model Mariacarla Boscono in the global Givenchy Dahlia Noir ad campaign. As you can see in these photos, Jelena is also impressively tall as she towered over me and everyone else in the photos of our TIFF adventures.
For their part, Hello Magazine hosted a really fun party and had an amazing guest list. Some of more noteworthy guest (since we took photos together!) were 2005 Miss Universe Natalie Glebova, Toronto Maple Leafs star player Joffrey Lupul, and PR Director of the new Four Seasons Yorkville hotel Halla Rafati.
After Hello Magazine, the next party on my TIFF Day 3 agenda (which included a total of FIVE different parties, and wearing FOUR different outfits throughout the day) was the Style & Fashion Magazine party at The Courthouse. Givenchy model Jelena is on the cover of the current issue of Style & Fashion (her first cover), so this was a very special event for Jelena. And thanks to Givenchy for treating me to a bottle of Dahlia Noir to wear for my own big night out. It’s a very powerful scent that announces your presence in a mysterious way.
