Hello Darlings,
Surprising to read Grammy Awards ratings were down more than 30%. Yet considering my experience, maybe this is to be expected. While I had the Grammy’s on for both the Red Carpet and the show, I spent far more time surfing the internet than watching my television.
While not the whole story, poor fashion choices by most musicians at the Grammy’s surely deserves some of the blame for my lack of interest. That night, I realized how few traditional celebrity icons inspire and influence my personal style. My true influencers are people like Miranda Kerr, Caroline Sieber, Olivia Palermo, and some beautifully curated websites like Sartorialist.
Miranda Kerr is a 29 year old Australian born model. I follow her on Instagram (as do over 1 million other people) and love her pretty yet playful style. She seems to have made such an amazing life for herself, including marrying and having a son with actor Orlando Bloom.
Caroline Sieber is a fashion stylist, from Vienna Austria but now living in London England. She is a Chanel brand ambassador, which obviously would help anyone look amazing! And while not a model she’s one of my favorite style icons, especially how she knows to choose outfits that accentuate her best asset, her amazing long legs.
Olivia Palermo has been one of my favorite style influencers for years. Hard to believe she is only 26 years old, since I have followed her blog www.OliviaPalermo.com seemingly forever. She always looks amazing wearing outfits from my favorite designers, and New York City as a backdrop always adds so much to her photos.
Curious to hear, who are your style influencers, and why?
With Love,
Marta

My style influencers are
1. Tom Ford
2. David Beckham
3. Lenny Kravitz
Classy yet they all have a slight edge
Good list Jonathan! Curious why David Beckham though?
I couldn’t agree with you more re: the Grammy’s. They used to be one of my favourite award shows, but over the years it seems to have become a competition for who can look the weirdest or wear the least amount of clothing. While I appreciate people who take risks, sometimes Grammy fashion just leaves me scratching my head.

Thanks Kate. It’s kind of strange how actors hire stylists, but musicians seem to either not want to spend to money or seriously think their fashion choices are something they aren’t.
I chose Beckham because he always dresses well. Wish I had his stylist.
Marta i agree totally with you on the Grammys ,,TV was opened but i was checking out my favorite blogs..Olivia palermo,,Caroline,Poppy Delevigne,Giorgia Tordini are some of my favorite style icons!!!!!
Every time I see a photo of Ms. Kerr, I am honestly surprised and stunned. Seriously, she takes my breath away! She is beyond beautiful. I didn’t even know looks like that were possible! And I like her style too. Very chic, mom-on-the-go
But I guess it’s easier to look great when you literally look like an angel.
As for style icons, I’ve been digging Kristyn Ritter lately. I like her lankiness and that she doesn’t have that orange LA tan!
Interesting choice! My friend Fallon is friends with Kristyn Ritter so I’m actually kind of hoping to meet her this weekend in LA since I’m a fan too.
