Hello Darlings, Women and the love affairs that they share with their shoes cannot be explained, it can only be experienced. Some say that the right shoes can change a woman’s life. The rhetoric may not carry a direct meaning, I do however believe that in fact it is true. It is a concept that one must experience first in order to believe it. As Carrie Bradshaw once famously said in Sex and The City, ” The fact is, sometimes it’s really hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. That’s why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun.”
Single or happily in love, walking in a woman’s shoes is no easy adventure. In a woman’s world, a shoe reflects her mood or creates the mood. In my case, you can tell how I feel by looking down at my feet. Some shoes are so special that they make a woman feel empowered enough to turn her into a force of nature to be reckoned with. I know we all have that pair that makes us feel invincible when worn! Aside from adding a spring to her step and perfecting the posture while beautifully accentuating feminine curves, shoes also empower her spirit.Perhaps that’s the reason why we adore them so much!
When facing some of my most intimidating moments such as speaking at conferences, I literally like to put my best foot forward. That is when I bring out the “special occasion” aka I need to feel fierce type of a shoes — Louboutin’s Pigalle Spikes. Shoes so special that the moment I slip them on, it is a transformation that only a woman can understand.
Yes, I love my other shoes but no pair comes in comparison to your first pair of Louboutins. They may be 120mm and when worn for more than three hours begin to feel like torture devices. But like the man himself said, “People say I am the king of painful shoes. I don’t want to create painful shoes, but it is not my job to create something comfortable. I try to make high heels as comfortable as they can be, but my priority is design, beauty and sexiness. I’m not against them, but comfort is not my focus.”
A small price of slight discomfort is worth paying for having the pleasure to wear a masterpiece as beautiful and experience the feeling as wonderful as they give. Mr. Louboutin is right, his shoes are made to make a woman feel something and comfort is definitely not it. After all who ever achieved anything spectacular by feeling comfortable in life? Shoes like his deserve a clean canvas only to themselves, with no interruptions or distractions. In my opinion, just the shoes and a touch of black is all that it takes to take the step worth taking in the direction that you’ve always wanted to go.
