The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Hello Darlings, There is no place like Vegas! I learned that for the first time during my 21st birthday celebration and again this week. It is a place where magical, overwhelming and completely crazy meet.

I arrived in Sin City on Sunday afternoon and checked in at the new Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hotel. Without a doubt the hotel is a much needed chic and urban addition to The Strip. The main attraction of which is the three story chandelier created by David Rockwell, who's also responsible for the magnificent interior concept and decor.

The chandelier took over a year to complete and features over 2 million crystals that magically cascade over the casino. Inside the chandelier is The Chandelier bar which is a perfect spot for a cocktails to start the night on the right foot. The facilities and decor of the Cosmopolitan are simply fabulous, however the staff and housekeeping services do not live up to the 5 star rating.

Then again, the atmosphere of the hotel is wonderful and it attracts a young professional crowd with a life-loving attitude. The hotel also has the world-famous Marquee Dayclub pool and two other pools. My personal favorite was the Bamboo Pool which is discreet and relaxing — two qualities that are not easy to find in Vegas.

My favorite part of the hotel is that you can have a room with a private terrace which is a rare find in Las Vegas. Since I was looking to relax from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas during the day and have a quiet space to work, I upgraded to a terrace suite. My room was on the 55th floor with the terrace overlooking the Strip and the stunning Bellagio fountains — absolutely worth the upgrade and if possible, one I would strongly recommend! If you're looking to experience Las Vegas in style, this is the place  to stay just don't be expecting exceptional service. Otherwise, everything else is truly wonderful.

With Love...

Marta
