Hello Darlings, From the smallest to the largest dramas of our lives, there is always the roadblock question — Should or Shouldn’t I? A woman always analyzes every side of the dilemma and makes a case that will hopefully lead her to the right answer. However, often times that answer should be, I should! After all, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.

My Saturday’s dilemma was somewhat insignificant; however nonetheless, it was important enough that I took note. As women, we are complex creatures to who even the smallest things or acts can have a huge significance. Saturday’s scenario was just it!

As I pulled out yet another flirty skirt from my closet, I became progressively more irritated with myself. Why am I so stuck on wearing the “safe outfit”? What happened to spontaneity and risk? As it turns out a few weeks of feeling somewhat self-conscious was what happened! The tricks our mind can play on us can frequently alter our view of ourselves.

As a result, I threw myself into daily running and yoga. After two weeks of the work outs, I was starting to feel much better and Saturday was the night to celebrate it by wearing my tiny silk shorts. It might be silly to make such a drama out of something that insignificant however the change in attitude was what mattered. Until this day, I still do not understand why we have moments where we doubt ourselves for no apparent reason. Shouldn’t we just know that we are awesome by being ourselves?! As Audrey Hepburn said, “I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls.” So, I slipped into my tiny shorts, brought out a new pair of Miu Mius and felt awesome doing it.

Why let self doubt stop you?! Trying something new is not as tragic as moving to a new city and hating it, but it is the small risks that add spice to our life. So the next time you feel like wearing a skin tight dress or lots of sequins – Just Go For It!!!

With Love…

Marta

Of course you should. You spend hours and hours in the gym, you eat healthy, you have earned the right to wear this stunning outfit. But the real beauty of this look is not from the outfit, it’s from you, the outstanding young lady wearing it.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

This is so true. It is so important for a woman to feel like she likes herself, in every aspect. Even the teeniest drop of insecurity can shift everything- from the way we walk to how loudly we laugh to whether or not we can summon the courage to talk to the cute guy who’s been eyeing us from afar. And I agree about the running. After a good run, I always feel reborn :)
