Hello Darlings,
It might have been the after-glow of the spring 2011 colour boom, or maybe I was just bored of wearing neutrals. Whatever the reason, I just want colour, and orange in particular. Not only have I purchased a bright orange coat, but also an orange purse! My closet no longer looks as if it belongs in a black and white photo album, but rather reflects that of a circus dressing room. With sequins, glitter, feathers, fur, lace, greens, oranges, golds, reds and velvet—it has all become a parade of the anti-conservative.

Hello Darlings,
Yesterday was the opening of Grace Kelly: From Movie Star to Princess Exhibit at TIFF Bell Lightbox. This much anticipated exhibit—which runs through January 22, 2012— was launched by Grace Kelly's son, Prince Albert II of Monaco, and his wife, Princess Charlene in Toronto on November 3rd. Despite being one of the most photographed women of her time, Grace Kelly always was a mystery. This beautifully choreographed exhibit provides an intimate look into the life of Grace Kelly.

With the rarely-displayed items and artifacts ranging from Grace Kelly's days as a leading lady in Hollywood, to a princess of one of Europe's oldest royal families; the exhibition features many of her original dresses, an exact replica of her iconic wedding gown, her signature "Kelly bag", and tiara.

Hello Darlings,
With flashy designer labels and a non-stop flow of champagne at the VIP lounge, the biggest downside were the fights over front row seating. The majority of the action took place in the Runway or the Studio rooms. The Runway room, seating over 700 guests and featuring a 90-foot catwalk, was the ideal setting for the biggest Canadian fashion houses to show their spring/summer 2012 collections. Also, new up-and-comers were displaying their collections in a more intimate setting in the Studio, which seats about 350 people. Despite the large seating capacity, space was never enough.

During each Fashion Week it is always a parade of fashion bureaucracy rather than designer democracy. The guests were creating more buzz about seating charts than the actual collections. With Iphone or Blackberry ubiquitous, every diva took an opportunity to bash one thing or another through their social media. Regardless of the seating soap opera, even the most patient of the crowd were disappointed with the wait times.
Hello Darlings,
This past weekend I had an opportunity to sit down with Iryna Korpan from Svitohlad on Omni Channel and talk about WLG, my background, becoming the face of UCU MasterCard, writing UC Magazine style column, and future plans. To say the least, it was a very special experience. Not only was it a first WLG live broadcast interview but it also felt great to do it in Ukrainian.
For those interested, you're welcome to watch the interview. I've added English subtitles . Next interview is in English :)
