Hello Darlings,
We all have signature things! Attributes that are a source of pride, and often a big part of our personal identity. Hair is one of my signature things, and I enjoy experimenting with colour and especially love playing the role of a redhead. Yet maintaining Red Carpet Ready hair is a challenge, since roots grow and colour fades!
One of my secrets to maintain Red Carpet Ready between salon visits is using Dove Colour Care shampoo and conditioner – who are providing amazing prizes for a “PIN TO WIN” contest starting today for the next two weeks on my Pinterest #KeeptheColour board.
For the second year in a row, I traveled to Hollywood, California to attend Oscar parties at celebrity ground zero. My week leading up to the trip was chaotic with appointments to be Red Carpet Ready – highlighted by trekking to Toronto to see my colourist Rob Pizzuti – yes I made a special trip from Montreal just for my hair, and yes Rob is just that good.
To me it feels like my hair is everything . All the preparation was worthwhile, since I felt confident in rooms filled with beautiful and famous people. And since I also had the chance to cover the Red Carpet at the OK! Magazine party, my freshly coloured hair was one of my biggest sources of confidence when there were cameras and judging eyes everywhere!
Throughout March, I am posting daily Instagram photos using hash tag #KeeptheColour to show how Dove Colour Care is keeping my hair colour Red Carpet Ready. And more fabulous news today, as I would like to thank Dove Colour Care our Prize Sponsor who has provided prizes and purchased media – for a “PIN TO WIN” contest with daily Prizes including a $150 prepaid credit card and a Dove Colour Care product gift box – with one winner everyday starting March 18, 2013 for two weeks.

I’ve always wanted red hair – sadly, I’m a mousy blondie, so it just wouldn’t go! I have, however flown from Vancouver to Calgary to get my hair done. I finally found a stylist in Vancouver who does what I want!
My west coast twin (at least the part of flying to another city to have your hair done!)
Gorgeous pics, thank you for the great giveaway
Thanks Ginette
Your hair looks amazing! I’ve pinned your Oscar Night photo – you looked terrific.
Thanks Colleen! Happy pinning!
For the first time in about 10 years I have finally grown my hair out and only have my natural color, which is pretty crazy and is going to be tough to not dye it but I want it to be healthy as I let it grow long!!
I repinned your exploring Vancouver pin, because I’m going there for the first time next month and I’m soooo excited!!
Isn’t it funny how I’m excited too hearing you are growing your hair out, and NOT colouring in the process. Amazing how much hair matters
Have you decided where in Vancouver you are staying??
I love your hair and fashion!
I had red hair a long time ago…sooo much fun to be a redhead! You wear it well!! Repinned. xoxo
Thanks Sandy. Why did you give up on red??
It would always fade so quickly, and I wanted a change after a while. It IS a lot of fun to be a redhead, though.

Really like this shot!
You have the most AMAZING hair! I am contemplating a change. I am blonde right now but years ago I was red and I LOVED it! I just found it faded fast. Your hair always looks so rich! I would love to try the Dove Colour care! I am so tempted to go red again!
I hope I am doing this correctly! http://pinterest.com/heatheranner/keepthecolour/

Seriously, I want those red shoes. I always want red hair. My hair is black, black so I could only get red highlights when I am under the sun.

who takes your photos?
DOVE CONTEST.
how do we get to find out about the winners?
Hi
Hi Anthonella,
The list isn’t published, but I can check with Dove if you would want me to find out if I can send you the list of winner’s names?
Best is to email me at marta@withlovegabrielle.com
Best wishes,
Marta
I cut off just about 12 inches back in August to donate to locks of love, so that was pretty well the start of taking care of my hair, but it’s crazy how much healthier it is now without color in it! Now to just stick with my natural color, will be the tough part!
My boyfriend has family there so we’ll be staying with them, but we’re also going to head to Whistler for a couple days and we’ll be staying at the Fairmont there! I’m sooo excited, it’s my university grad trip and birthday trip all wrapped into one!
Thanks Danielle !
Danielle, not sure if you received my “official” email, but you WON the first day contest
It was worth it – when I’ve have everything from Black and white stripes to green to copper hair – it pays to have someone who knows your hair!
Also – I’m natvanap on twitter. I’ve pinned a few – should I keep pinning? Do you need links?
Hi Natalie,
The way the Dove contest works is you get 1 entry per day, no matter how many times you re-pin… So best idea is to pin once per day.
If you don’t win on any given day, your entry carries over, so if you pin every day by the end you have 14 entries. Unique contest, I know…
PS – green?? black and white stripes?? would love to see the face on my stylists if I asked him to do that for me
ooh, trust me, it wasn’t asked. :S
black and white – was from an inexperienced aveda stylist doing highlights and low lights – in thick chunks. I cried.
Green happens to me (since I have goldie blond hair) when someone puts an ash tone in my hair. It looks like I spent a day at the pool.
ahh the trials!!!
WOW 12 inches!! That must have been quite an experience. Nice that you did that though for a good cause
