Hello Darlings, It’s not everyday that a girl gets to be a part of Guinness World Records history but let alone host one. Growing up I loved flipping through the pages of Guinness World Records books, just the sheer curiosity and remarkable achievement of various acts always kept me on the look out for the newest published edition. Fast forward twenty years and I had the absolute honor of being a part of one of such amazing record.
From all the amazing events that I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of this may have to top the list as few weeks ago I hosted Amope PediPark.
Along with the incredibly beautiful and talented star of Suits, Sarah Rafferty I had the pleasure to hosting this incredible event. For everyone who showed their support by coming out or joining the conversation on social media, many thanks. If you missed the event, here’s a peak!
On June 10th, 2015 at Yonge Dundas Square, Amope Canada and a team of 30 talented pedicurists were on a mission to set a record for most pedicures in 8 hours. That’s right, Toronto can now proudly admit to having the most pampered feet as we set a Guinness World Records for 1,083 pedicures in 8 hours. Essentially all that we wanted was to kick start the summer celebration by spoiling a few Canadians to a lovely pedicure while transforming the entire square into a picnic like area with Muskoka chairs, blankets and umbrellals. To say that we had fun would be an understatement and the excitement only increased as the day went by and we closing on our goal.
So what’ s a girl to wear for an occasion as exciting as this, simple — little black dress! As I’ve always said when in doubt, resort to wearing a little black dress. As the event was celebrating summer, the floral Wilfred jacket and a pair of simple black Saint Laurent pumps completed the entire look. When dressing for an occasion not knowing what to expect stay true to a silhouette that you know will be flattering and you’ll feel most comfortable in. This was just what I needed for a full day of fun and staying busy!
